Terms and Conditions

Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 14 August 2026. These terms apply to orders placed on or after this date.

Please read these terms before you buy. They explain who you are contracting with, how our made-to-order clothes work, what you are responsible for, and what we are responsible for. Our Return Policy and Privacy Policy form part of these terms.

1. Who you are contracting with

This website is operated by TASMAIRA LLC, a company registered in the United States, trading as Looms of Tasmai. When you place an order, your contract is with TASMAIRA LLC.

TASMAIRA LLC, 17350 State Highway 249, Ste 220 #34044, Houston, Texas 77064, United States. Email wecare@loomsoftasmai.com. Phone and WhatsApp +1 945 278 2918.

Our garments are made in India by our manufacturing affiliate, Tasmaira Creations Pvt Ltd. Your contract remains with TASMAIRA LLC.

2. Accepting these terms

By using this website or placing an order you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not order.

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we send you an order confirmation. If we cannot accept your order - for example the item is unavailable, we cannot deliver to your address, or there has been a pricing error - we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

3. Who can buy

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and able to enter a binding contract. You may buy children's clothing as an adult on a child's behalf. You must give accurate contact, delivery and payment details.

4. Your account

You do not have to create an account to buy. If you do, keep your login details private and tell us promptly if you think someone else has used them. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or close an account that is used to break these terms.

5. Our clothes are made to order

Most of what we sell is not sitting in a warehouse. It is cut and stitched after you order it. Some pieces are ready stock. The product page tells you which is which, and the delivery estimate reflects it.

This has real consequences you should understand before you buy:

  • Made-to-order and customised pieces cannot be cancelled once the order is confirmed, and are final sale - they cannot be returned or exchanged. This is set out in our Return Policy.
  • Options such as a custom colour or a stitched blouse add time to your order. Where an option adds time, we say so at the point you choose it.
  • Ready stock items can be cancelled only if you tell us before the order has been processed or shipped.

If you are unsure whether a piece is ready stock or made to order, ask us before you buy.

6. Made-to-measure and the measurements you give us

This is the most important clause on this page. Please read it.

When you choose a custom or made-to-measure option, we cut and stitch the garment to the measurements you type into the product page. We make what you tell us to make.

  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your measurements. Take them carefully, in the units the form asks for, and check them before you add the item to your cart.
  • A garment made correctly to incorrect measurements is not faulty. If the figures you gave us were wrong, or were taken wrongly, and we made the piece to those figures, the garment is not defective. It is not returnable, refundable or exchangeable, and any alteration is at your own cost.
  • Help is available before you buy, and we would rather you used it. Every product page carries a size guide and a step-by-step guide to taking each measurement. You can also message us on WhatsApp at +1 945 278 2918 with questions about sizing before you order.
  • We may query figures that look inconsistent before we cut, and may contact you to confirm them. This is a courtesy, not a check we guarantee to perform, and it does not transfer responsibility for your measurements to us.
  • Standard sizes are different. If you buy a standard size rather than a custom fit, you are choosing from our published size chart, and the fit tolerances of that chart apply.

We do not offer a fit guarantee, and we do not offer free remakes or free alterations. We would rather say that plainly here than promise something we cannot deliver from a workshop on the other side of the world. Use the size guide, ask us first, and measure twice.

Your measurements are handled as described in our Privacy Policy, which also tells you how to have them deleted.

7. Handwoven and hand-finished pieces vary

Our fabrics are woven and finished by hand. That is the point of them, and it means no two pieces are identical.

  • Colour, weave, texture, motif placement, embroidery and finish vary from piece to piece, and between a piece and the photographs of it.
  • Colour on your screen depends on your monitor, phone and lighting, and will not match the cloth exactly.
  • Slight irregularities in a handwoven textile - small slubs, minor variation in the weave, tiny differences in a hand-embroidered motif - are characteristics of the craft, not faults, and are not grounds for a return.

Genuine damage, a defect, or the wrong item is a different matter, and is covered by our Return Policy. If you need a closer look at a colour or a weave before ordering, ask us on WhatsApp.

8. Prices, currency and taxes

  • Prices are set in US dollars. If the store shows you another currency, that is a conversion for your convenience; the amount your bank charges may differ slightly, and your bank may add its own conversion or foreign transaction fee.
  • The price you pay is the price shown at checkout when your order is confirmed.
  • Any sales tax or other tax we are required to collect is shown at checkout. Import duties are separate and are dealt with in the next section.
  • We try to keep the site accurate, but errors happen. If an item is listed at an obviously wrong price, we may cancel the order and refund you in full rather than fulfil it. We will tell you if we do.
  • We may change prices at any time. A change does not affect an order we have already confirmed.

9. Customs duties and import charges

We want you to know this before you order, not when the courier is at your door.

Your order ships from India. That means it crosses a border to reach you, and your country may charge import duty, tax or a customs handling fee on it.

  • Unless the checkout page states that duties and import taxes are included in what you paid, any such charge is yours to pay, and the carrier or customs authority will usually collect it before or on delivery.
  • These charges are set by your government, not by us. We cannot tell you in advance what they will be, and we do not receive any part of them.
  • If you refuse to pay them and the parcel is returned or destroyed, we cannot refund the duties, the original shipping, or a made-to-order garment.
  • Customs duties, taxes and return shipping are not refundable, as set out in our Return Policy.
  • Customs inspection can delay a parcel. That delay is outside our control.

If you are unsure what your country charges on imported clothing, check with your local customs authority before you order.

10. Processing and delivery times

The estimates published on our product pages are:

  • Unstitched pieces - about 10 to 14 days.
  • Stitched pieces - about 17 to 21 days.
  • Made-to-measure pieces - about 24 to 28 days.

These are made up of roughly 1 to 3 days to process your order, about 7 days in transit, and the stitching time in between.

These are estimates, not guarantees, and we do not promise delivery by a particular date. Handwork, festival and wedding season demand, customs clearance, carrier delays, weather and events outside our control all affect them. If your piece is needed for a specific date, tell us before you order and we will tell you honestly whether it is realistic.

If your order is going to be significantly late, we will contact you.

11. Title and risk

Ownership of the goods passes to you when we have received payment in full. Risk of loss or damage passes to you when the goods are delivered to you or to someone at the delivery address you gave us. If a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, tell us as soon as you can and we will take it up with the carrier.

12. Returns, refunds and cancellations

These are governed by our Return Policy, which forms part of these terms. In summary, and without changing anything in it:

  • Ready stock may be returned if you raise a request within 72 hours of delivery and dispatch the item within 10 days, unworn and with tags and packaging intact.
  • Made-to-order, customised, sale and store-credit purchases are final sale.
  • Damaged, defective or incorrect items must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs of the product and the packaging.
  • Approved refunds are issued as store credit unless we say otherwise.
  • Original shipping is not refundable, and return shipping and customs charges are yours to pay unless the fault was ours.

Start a return at 360.postco.co/cd2yrj-rw. If anything here appears to conflict with the Return Policy, the Return Policy applies.

13. Our content and trademarks

The design of this website, our photographs, text, sketches, garment designs, logos and the names Looms of Tasmai and TASMAIRA belong to us or are used with permission. You may not copy, reproduce or use them commercially, or produce garments from our designs, without our written permission. You may of course share links to our pages and products.

14. Things you send us

If you send us a design brief, a photograph, a measurement note, a review or any other content, you keep ownership of it. You give us permission to use it for the purpose you sent it for - making your garment, answering your enquiry, or publishing your review. We will ask you first if we want to use your photograph in our marketing.

Please only send content you have the right to send, and do not send anything unlawful or offensive.

15. Acceptable use

Please do not use this website to break the law, to place fraudulent orders, to interfere with the site's operation or security, to scrape or copy the site in bulk, to resell our products as your own, or to post abusive, misleading or infringing content. We may refuse or cancel orders, and restrict access to the site, where we reasonably believe this clause has been broken.

16. Third-party tools on this site

Parts of this site are provided by third parties - for example our checkout and payments, the reviews tool, the pre-order tool, the returns portal and the optional virtual try-on tool. Their own terms and privacy notices apply to how they work. We choose them carefully but we do not control their systems, and we are not responsible for them. Using the virtual try-on tool is optional; see our Privacy Policy.

17. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Some states do not allow certain exclusions, and if that is so where you live, those exclusions do not apply to you.

Subject to that:

  • Our products are supplied for ordinary personal use, and to the extent the law allows we do not give implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose beyond what these terms and the Return Policy provide.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses - for example loss of profit, loss of opportunity, or the cost of an event you could not attend because a parcel was late.
  • Our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
  • We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including customs, carrier failure, natural events, strikes, and the interruption of supply or production.

18. Indemnity

If you break these terms or use the site unlawfully, and someone brings a claim against us as a result, you agree to cover the reasonable costs, damages and legal fees we incur because of it.

19. Governing law and disputes

These terms and any dispute arising from them or from an order are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Talk to us first. Most problems are quicker to fix directly. If you have a complaint, email wecare@loomsoftasmai.com with your order number and what went wrong. Please give us 30 days from the date you write to us to try to resolve it before starting formal proceedings. We will do the same for you.

If it cannot be resolved that way, you and we agree that any claim will be brought in the state or federal courts located in the State of Texas, and both of us submit to the jurisdiction of those courts. If the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts, or to use a consumer dispute scheme, this clause does not take that right away.

20. If part of these terms cannot be enforced

If a court finds any part of these terms unenforceable, that part is removed and the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we do not lose it.

These terms, with the Return Policy and Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about your order. You may not transfer your rights under them without our consent; we may transfer ours if the business is sold, and this will not reduce your rights.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms - for example if we change how we ship, or add a service. The version published on this page when you place your order is the version that applies to that order. We will change the "Last updated" date at the top whenever we revise them, so please check before ordering again.
