Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 August 2026. This policy takes effect on 14 August 2026 and replaces any earlier version.
Notice at collection
When you use this website we collect your contact and order details, payment and delivery information, the body measurements you type in if you order a made-to-measure piece, the messages you send us, and information about how you browse the site. We use it to take and fulfil your order, to support you afterwards, to run and improve the site, and to send you marketing if you have asked for it. We do not sell your personal information for money. Some sharing for advertising may count as a "sale" or "sharing" under US state privacy laws, and you can opt out on our Your Privacy Choices page. How long we keep information is set out in "How long we keep your information" below.
Who we are
This website is operated by TASMAIRA LLC, a company registered in the United States, trading as Looms of Tasmai. TASMAIRA LLC decides how and why your personal information is used, and is responsible for it.

Our garments are made in India by our manufacturing affiliate, Tasmaira Creations Pvt Ltd. That matters for your privacy, and we explain it plainly under "Your information goes to India" below.
What we collect
- Contact and account details - your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address, and the password and preferences on your account if you create one.
- Order details - what you bought, the size or fit option you chose, custom colour choices, order value, delivery method, tracking, returns and store credit.
- Payment information - payments are taken by Shopify, including Shop Pay and Shop Pay Installments. We receive confirmation that you paid, the card type and the last few digits. We do not see or store your full card number.
- Body measurements - if you order a made-to-measure piece. See the section below, which is written specifically about these.
- Messages you send us - emails, contact form submissions, WhatsApp messages, design briefs sent from the Design Journey page, appointment requests, and reviews you write.
- Images - photographs you send us, for example with a damage claim or a design enquiry, and any image you choose to use with the virtual try-on tool.
- Browsing and device information - pages you viewed, what you added to your cart, approximate location from your IP address, device and browser type, and cookie identifiers.
Your measurements
If you order a made-to-measure garment, the product page asks you to type in your measurements - bust, under bust, waist, hip, shoulder, blouse length, sleeve length, arm round and height. The form may also record fit preferences such as neckline or sleeve style, and a free-text note for the tailor.
- What we use them for. Only to cut and stitch your garment, to check an order before it goes into production, and to answer your questions about fit. Nothing else.
- Where they are stored. They are saved onto your order as line item properties, so they travel with the order to the workshop that makes the piece, and they appear on the paperwork for that order.
- Saving them for next time. The measurement form may remember what you typed in your own browser, on your own device, so you do not have to type it again. We are also building a feature that would save measurements to your customer account for reuse. If we switch that on it will be optional, and you will be able to delete saved measurements at any time.
- Who sees them. Our team, and the people who make your garment at Tasmaira Creations Pvt Ltd in India. We do not share measurements with advertisers or data brokers, and we do not sell them.
- How long we keep them. They stay attached to your order record for as long as we keep that order - see "How long we keep your information". You do not have to wait for that: you can ask us to delete them at any time.
- How to have them deleted. Email wecare@loomsoftasmai.com with "Delete my measurements" in the subject line and your order number in the message. We will remove them from the order record and from any saved profile, and we will ask our manufacturing affiliate to delete their copy. If the garment is still being made we will do this once it has shipped. Deleting your measurements does not delete the rest of your order record, which we may need to keep for tax and accounting.
These are figures you type in yourself. They describe your body; they are not a biometric identifier, and we do not scan, fingerprint or face-map anyone. Even so, we treat them as sensitive information, we keep access to them narrow, and we use them for nothing but making your clothes.
Virtual try-on
The store offers an optional virtual try-on tool supplied by a third party, Genlook, so you can get a sense of how a piece looks before you buy.
- It is optional. Nothing on this site requires it. You can browse, choose a size and buy any product without ever opening it.
- It may involve an image of you. If you use it you may be asked to upload or capture a photograph. That image is processed by the provider's systems, not only by ours.
- The provider's own terms apply to what happens inside its systems. We do not control them.
- How to avoid it. Do not open the try-on tool, and do not upload or capture a photograph. Declining costs you nothing.
- If you have already used it and want your image removed, email wecare@loomsoftasmai.com. We will pass your request to the provider and tell you what they say.
We have asked the provider to confirm in writing exactly what is stored, for how long, and whether anything is kept after your session ends. Until we have that in writing we will not make claims about it here. We will update this section once we do.
Why we use your information, and our basis for it
- To take, make and deliver your order, including making a garment to your measurements, arranging shipping and handling customs paperwork - because we need to in order to perform our contract with you.
- To contact you about your order, answer questions, and handle returns, damage claims and store credit - to perform our contract with you.
- To take payment and prevent fraud - to perform our contract with you, and because we have a legitimate interest in protecting the business against fraudulent orders.
- To run, secure and improve the website, understand which products and pages work, and fix problems - because we have a legitimate interest in running a working shop.
- To send you marketing emails - because you asked us to. You can withdraw that at any time; see "Marketing, and how to stop it".
- To invite and publish reviews - to perform our contract with you and because we have a legitimate interest in showing honest feedback.
- To meet legal, tax, accounting and customs obligations - because the law requires it.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the following, and only so far as each needs it:
- Shopify - our ecommerce platform. It hosts the store, processes checkout and payments (including Shop Pay and Shop Pay Installments), stores order and customer records, and provides the store analytics we use.
- Tasmaira Creations Pvt Ltd (India) - our manufacturing affiliate. It receives the details needed to make and dispatch your order, including your measurements and delivery address.
- Shipping carriers and customs authorities - your name, address, phone number and the contents and value of the parcel, so it can be carried and cleared through customs.
- Klaviyo - email marketing. It holds your email address and marketing preferences, and information about what you have bought and viewed, so our emails are relevant.
- Junip - product reviews. It handles review invitations and the reviews you write.
- EZ Preorder - manages pre-order items in the store.
- Genlook - the optional virtual try-on tool described above.
- Our returns portal at 360.postco.co/cd2yrj-rw - if you start a return, the details you enter there are handled by that service.
- WhatsApp - if you message us on WhatsApp, the message travels through WhatsApp's own service and its privacy terms apply to it as well as ours.
- Professional advisers, such as our accountants, and authorities where the law requires us to disclose something.
We do not give your personal information to anyone else for their own marketing.
Your information goes to India
We want to be plain about this. We are a US company, but the clothes are made in India. To make your garment, your order details - including your name, delivery address, contact details and any measurements you gave us - are sent to Tasmaira Creations Pvt Ltd in India. Some of our other service providers may also store or access information outside the United States.
India's privacy laws are not the same as those of the United States, and the protections and remedies available there are different. We share only what is needed to make and send your order, and we require our affiliate to use it only for that purpose. If you are not comfortable with this transfer, please do not place a made-to-measure order, because we cannot make the garment without it.
How long we keep your information
- Order records, including measurements attached to an order, are kept for as long as we need them to run the business, deal with returns, warranty and disputes, and meet our tax, accounting and customs obligations.
- Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, and for a short period afterwards so we can honour the unsubscribe.
- Messages, including WhatsApp and email correspondence, are kept for as long as they are useful in supporting you and resolving disputes.
- Analytics and cookie data are kept for the periods set by Shopify and the tools listed above.
We have not fixed a single number of years for each of these yet. Rather than publish a figure we cannot stand behind, we have described the tests we apply. When we set fixed periods we will state them here. You can ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will unless the law requires us to keep it.
Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We and our providers use them to keep your cart and session working, remember your preferences, keep the site secure, measure how the store is used, and - where you have allowed it - support advertising.
Some cookies are essential: the store will not work without them. Others are optional. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and delete them at any time. Where a cookie banner or preference control is shown to you on this site, your choice there applies.
If you visit with a Global Privacy Control signal enabled, and you are in a US state where that signal must be honoured, we treat it as an opt-out of any sharing of your information for targeted advertising for that browser and device.
Marketing, and how to stop it
We send marketing emails only to people who have asked for them. You can withdraw your consent at any time, and it costs you nothing:
- Click unsubscribe at the bottom of any marketing email.
- Reply STOP to a marketing message on WhatsApp.
- Or email wecare@loomsoftasmai.com and ask us to remove you.
Withdrawing consent stops marketing. We will still send messages about an order you have placed - order confirmations, dispatch and delivery updates, and replies to your questions - because we need to.
Your Privacy Choices - US state privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights over the personal information we hold about you. We honour the rights below for residents of every US state that grants them.
If you live in California
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it, and who we disclosed it to.
- Access a copy of that information.
- Delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to the exceptions the law allows - for example records we must keep for tax.
- Correct personal information that is inaccurate.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, including sharing for cross-context behavioural advertising. Use our Your Privacy Choices page.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information. We use your measurements only to make your garment, which is the purpose you gave them for, and we do not use them to infer anything about you.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not refuse you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower quality of service because you made a privacy request.
You may use an authorised agent to make a request for you. We will ask for proof that you authorised them.
If you live in Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas or Virginia
You have broadly equivalent rights: to confirm whether we process your personal information and access it, to correct it, to delete it, to obtain a portable copy of information you provided to us, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal information, and profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. We do not carry out that kind of profiling.
If we refuse your request, you may appeal. Reply to our decision, or write to us at the postal address below with "Privacy appeal" in the subject line, and we will reconsider and explain our reasoning in writing. If we refuse the appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.
How to make a request
- Email wecare@loomsoftasmai.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line. Tell us which right you want to use, and which state you live in.
- Or write to TASMAIRA LLC, 17350 State Highway 249, Ste 220 #34044, Houston, Texas 77064, United States.
- To opt out of sale or sharing for advertising, use the Your Privacy Choices page, which lets you opt out for your browser and for your account.
To protect your information, we need to be reasonably sure the request is really from you. We will usually do this by writing to the email address on your account or order, and we may ask for an order number. We will respond within the time the law requires - generally 45 days, which can be extended where the law allows, in which case we will tell you.
Children's privacy
This store is intended for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. We do sell children's clothing, but it is meant to be bought by an adult: if you are buying for a child, you are providing that child's details and measurements as their parent or guardian.
If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, email wecare@loomsoftasmai.com and we will delete it.
How we protect your information
The store runs on Shopify's hosted platform, and card payments are handled by Shopify's payment systems, so we never hold your full card details. We limit who on our side can see customer records and measurements to the people who need them to do their job. No website or system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we will not pretend otherwise - but if something goes wrong that affects your information, we will tell you and the authorities where the law requires it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. If the change is significant - a new category of information, or a new purpose - we will say so clearly, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent.
